Last night was the annual SoFo event to celebrate two fabulous women, Susan Rockefeller & Christy Brinkley who were being honored for their efforts in protecting the environment and sea life. I am here to tell you about the details of all the fun! The event took place inside as well as in the outdoor surroundings of the South Fork Natural History Museum & Nature Center in Bridgehampton, NY and all I have to say is WOW! WOW! WOW! 2 thumbs up on the garden ambiance and overall decor! There was a sealife wine tour inside the museum, a full-blown clambake outside, an upstairs outdoor viewing deck and a wine vendor in every corner. The cocktails were noticeably beautiful, delicious-tasting yet so strong! But that was a good thing as it loosened us up for the step & repeat photo’s in celebrating some of the fun derived around this well planned environmental event. There was large tent for the award ceremony to take place where the host, Susan Rockefeller honored Christy Brinkley as a “Mermaid” within her organization and for guests to socialize. The comfy lounge chairs were speckled in different spots to just unwind with friends. I enjoyed touring through the marine life exhibit to learn about all of the sea elements, sea-life and how we can protect their environment. Of course, the organic gift bags were filled with promotional advertisements for some local fun including a family day pass to the South Fork Natural History Museum & Nature Center as well as 20% off Paddle Diva Products & Services, 20% Off a Seaweed Organic Facial at Gurney’s Inn in Montauk, a bottle of marine organic Laminaria Seaweed Oil, an Ocean Mist Gemstone Soaprock, exclusive invitations to upcoming events and information about the museum and how to get involved … Local publications covered the event including the Independent Newspaper. It was just so tranquil as each pathway lead you to a different area with more interesting people and information about the museum and it’s programs. What a great way to get involved with our community.
