Equinox Regional Spa Team tours some of the most profitable spa locations in the country…
In July, the close-nit Central area spa team for Equinox paid a visit to our Nations Capital to meet in person for the first time along with Equinox Vice President of Spas, Tristan Shaw, and led by the area’s SRSM, Jonathan Will. The team visited the top producing spa’s to gain insight and implement strategies for their own locations and made time for land marking. The 4th and newest D.C. spa property soon opening in the west village-like Chinatown Alleyway, is Equinox Anthem, led by former Equinox Greenwich GM, Jeffrey Spiconardi. Anthem will have a full service Equinox spa, and is walking distance to the coolest Apple store, museums, and urban-quaint D.C. city life happenings!
The 83 degree weather could not have been more perfect with its breezy, cloudless skies (for the frequent and much needed escaping to local hotposts, cafe’s and restaurants). The team visited places like The Wharf, taking a Monumental boat tour talking shop on each clubs success and open opportunities, while some veered off to explore, or take a scenic morning coffee stroll in the Dupont Circle area. Other findings discovered was a vintage Dupont Circle bookstore (which I, the author did not get to visit, but it’s on the bucket list!) and finding a cool little french-inspired cafe/bar/resteraunt called, Bistrot du Coin (@bistroducoin), which is known for it’s tremendous annual Bastille Day!
This trip entailed constant movement, and was not long enough for the amount of fun we were having, but the spa crew packed-in exactly how that saying goes, “work hard, play hard”…and how does a spa person by trade ‘wine-down’ in such a cool place? Besides numerous happy hour options, the hotel amenities by British brand Aromatherapy Associates (aromatherapyassociates.com) and German-made Malin & Goetz, are BY FAR, ahhhmazing! Discovering a bodywash with the absolute most perfect scent from the line, REVIVE, which has notes of potent geranium, orange, peppermint, and lavender pure essential oils to help rescue your mood (great for the working professional on-the-go!), so it was just the perfect balance-out refresher.
…Until next time, D.C. you are awesome!
